Allen B. Schwartz began his adventure in the fashion world at the age of sixteen when he ventured from his home in Brooklyn to Manhattan. With drive and determination, Mr. Schwartz landed his first job at Russ Togs. Through his passion for design and sales, Mr. Schwartz quickly worked his way through the ranks of the fashion world. However it was his flare and instinct for design that would guide his future success.


Esprit would be Allen’s next venture, which he co- founded and spent the next ten years at the top growing the business out of the company headquarters in San Francisco. In 1982 Allen decided it was time to go out on his own. With the desire to design still burning ever stronger, he made several major life changes including moving to Los Angeles where he launched ABS by Allen B Schwartz. The media and fashion world quickly hailed Allen "The Master of Trend". He is revered and applauded for the extraordinary job he does of bringing the latest trends to the market in record time, with his own vision and interpretation.

With his outgoing personality and keen insight into the fashion world and its trends, Allen has become a darling of the media with broad coverage on television and all of the major fashion magazines. Coupled with his major presence in all of the major Department stores, Allen, together with his ABS and Essentials brands, has attained a national and international reputation forbeing at the forefront of the fashion and accessories world.

After over two decades of designing for his moniker brands, ABS by Allen B Schwartz and Essentials by ABS, he is more passionate than ever about design and predicting the next major trends in fashion and accessories.
